What are the materials of construction for Pope mixers?
All wetted surfaces are made out of 316/316L stainless steel. Our standard elastomers are Viton. Special alloys (Hastelloy, Carpenter 20, etc.) and elastomers (Kalrez, Teflon, etc.) are also available upon your request. We can even do a Teflon coating for all wetted surfaces of the mixer.

What type of mounting flange and what sizes are available?
A: Our standard mountings are 2” sanitary (Tri-Clamp) for series 600 mixers and 3” sanitary (Tri-Clamp) for series 800 mixers. However we can make a custom flange to match your existing vessel fitting.

Can Pope provide a mixing vessel?
A: Absolutely. Pope has years of experience in turnkey vessel systems. We can quote you one of our standard ASME mixing vessels or customized pressure vessel.

What warranty will I receive with a purchase of Pope mixer?
A: All our mixers are subject to one-year manufacturing warranty from the date of shipment.

What documentation will I receive with my mixer?
A: Each mixer will be shipped with user manual, test reports (pressure and vacuum testing during dynamic and static use), material certifications and spare parts list.

How will impellers be attached to the mixer shaft?
A: Our standard impellers will have two setscrews. We also offer welding and polishing.

What type of impeller will I receive with a standard mixer?
A: The standard impellers are a marine type. Please contact us for a special impeller type.

Can I have an RPM indicator with Pope mixer?
A: Yes, tachometer is available and can be attached with any mixer.

What if I need a custom shaft length?
A: Our maximum shaft lengths are 24” for 600 series and 36” for 800 series mixers. We will cut the shaft to your custom length at no charge.

What if my mixer needs to be serviced. Can I do it myself?
A: The mixer manual explains how to service the mixer and gives you the part numbers and prices of spare parts. You could also send your mixer back to Pope and we will do it for you.

Can I keep my mixer attached to the vessel during autoclaving?

A: We offer a quick-disconnect motor mount assembly that will help you to
remove/re-install the motor before/after autoclaving.
